Customer Review :
The perfect trash can : simplehuman Semi-Round Step Trash Can, Fingerprint-Proof Brushed Stainless Steel, 40 Liters /10.5 Gallons
Design:
The semi-circular establish is perfect for placing the trash can close to a wall with minimal intrusion. The hands-free foot pedal keeps the trash can clean as there is tiny need to touch the surface except to convert the trash bag. The sleek stainless steel desist is vibrant (better than the picture), sleek and matches all of my other stainless steel kitchen appliances. It's a sexy trash can.
Functionality:
Other, cheaper kitchen trash cans I have owned have all had constant issues with the lid end and staying closed. After more than 2 months of use, the Simplehuman trash can still functions perfectly in this regard. The pedal opens the lid with minimal endeavor and closes so smoothly as to be completely silent. The tight seal all but elminates odors when the lid is closed. The can has a built in liner that can be used to undoubtedly take off and replace the trash bag. It is makes the changing process easy and keeps the bag overlap inside the trash can, preserving the great surface look.
Value:
The Simplehuman trash can was by all means; of course on the higher end of the price range for me, but I was tired of dealing with all of issues from buying cheap trash cans. Initially, I did have reservations about purchasing a trash can at over $100. Those reservations were gone after day 1.
Conclusion:
The simplehuman trash can looks spectacular, and functions even better. It is more costly than most trash cans, but the potential is reflected in the price. Put simiply, it is the best appliance in my kitchen and worth every penny.
